Nearly 15 miles of marked mountain biking trails inside the state park boundary provide access to 8,000 acres of remote, unmarked and unsigned logging roads. These trails provide for scenic and challenging rides for the ambitious mountain biker. The primitive roads are shared with hikers. Expect rough terrain, stream crossings and outstanding views on your biking adventure.
The Unaka Bike Park is located less than a mile from downtown Erwin and features over ten miles of mountain biking trails with a wide variety of difficulty levels, with some reaching more than 700 feet in elevation change.
Erwin Linear Trail
If mountainous terrain is not the adventure you are seeking, and you prefer a more flat, paved peddling adventure, then the Erwin Linear Trail is your destination. The Erwin Linear Trail features nearly five miles of paved trail. The trail is shared with walkers.
